Yea, I kind of just went with the flow. Between the wind and the current above the rapids it was going out pretty fast. Here is a video clip that was taken about 5 minutes later.

Obviously it's not your first day in a canoe, I would be alittle nervous if that was me........nice pics though, how was fishing ??

When the water is that cold one should always be a little bit nervous. But it is not as bad as it looked nor was the short rapids at the other end of the portage. I paddle a solo canoe on my longer trips but for fishing the big aluminum is really stable by comparison.
Ice out fishing in the BWCA is always good.
