Meh. It was a duty Doe. I like meat.
What kills me is how far a deer can go with a fist size hole in it's chest and a broken shoulder

First off, congrats! Any deer is a good deer.
Second off, I concur on how tough of an animal deer are....especially compared to humans. If I get shot square in the chest I bet the farthest I make it is maybe a couple feet in whichever direction I fall.

We are literally just outside the North CWD zone, which after reading the regs and realizing the amount of shit required I'm extremely thankful we dodged that bullet.....
.....but just watch, they'll test one positive right by us, expand the zone....and yup, that'd pretty much be our luck.

^^^^Hahaha! Like that one a lot.
My little bro thought his deer would make for a cool European so I did it up for him....will go angled out on a walnut oval plaque after drying and painting.

Dad texted me, he filled this morning can't tell if the way he's holding it makes it look small or it being on the ground just makes it look bigger
