I do have the kick ass real pick-up truck now...... gas hoarding!

Nershi- Saudi’s and Russians are having a pissing match over oil and saudis opened the taps on wells to flood the market. That’s why oil is cheap not the mania virus. Killing our oil industry in the country at the same time corona measures crush all other sectors of the economy. Perfect storm.

Yeah, they had a depressing report a couple weeks back that the Russian's and Saudi's are getting into a d!ck measuring contest, but with Coronavirus coming no one was really going to get to enjoy the anticipated lower gas prices.

I haven't seen what it's doing to diesel. If that dropped, the food distribution companies are going to be happy.

Potential benefit for Ag also. We need those fields planted.

That guy might give me nightmares but anyway... in the US, we’re on about mile 1 or 3 in a marathon

Not only am I scared to take my kids to my parents house but I might be scared of CWD now too. Thanks Mike Osterholm! lol

Hope there’s a good rice crop this summer. Plenty of ammo for laying in a supply of meat.

I am reading his book that he published in 2017. He predicted this perfectly and how it would unfold. Nobody listened to him them but are paying attention now. The scary thing is that if he is only half right on the rest of the stuff in the book we need to really shift our priorities. We got really lucky on MERS and SARS. They should have been the wake up call. I remember hearing about them on the news but never paid much attention. I think in the second chapter he worked on an outbreak of diarrhea in Brainerd. It officially became called "Brainerd Diareaha" at the CDC. Google it.

Locally have not seen diesel prices at the pump drop. Seems odd. Yrs ago it always fluctuated like gas, now days hardly at all.

Anyone see the Anti-"South of Whatever" line map? The flames going up over people driving North to their cabin for vacation, "stealing" the local's grocery supplies, etc..... some of it is legit concern, but a good portion of the posters are in hysterics.

Stay home people, but let's not start defining where home is. If it's a legit residence and they are legit sheltering in place, 10-1 it's better for the local economy to have a few more cars at the DQ drive thru.

The anti-Snow Bird threads started already, too. So, you know, if mom and dad were AZ they need to just stay there, forever.

I'm thinking how to introduce that, if this is going to go on for a few more months, the wife and kids should go to the in laws. In laws are +/- 70 and going to need a hand if any sh!t hits the fan. My mom moves next week into a place that will be better for isolation.

Been in arizona for a week. Heading home tomorrow. Just been hiking all week or hanging at the pool at the house we rented. Have not done any public stuff around many people. I will work from home next week. I am in mortgage so i will be fine cause rates are so low people will still refinance or do home equities to save money. My wife does physical therapy. But there will be alot of pain for the service industry. You cant shut down bars or small restaurants for weeks and expect them to be ok. Its sad we are destroying our economy and in the end it may of been not necessary.

But like many of you my stocks are taking a pounding especially my couple of oil stocks. Russia sure picked a great time to start a price war! Russia claims they can go 8 years at these prices but i dont see it. They have the money reserves but i doubt they want to burn through them when they likely wont gain that much market share anyway.

As a machinist that primarily makes medical parts, work is slightly busy.

CNC stays at work. So I’m still working my 12hr shifts and going back home.

We’re a small part of the company and they seem to really dislike this department, maybe they won’t after this.

No sports on TV so I watched this tonight. At least watch the last part, starting at about the 2 hour mark. The 10th inning of one of the greatest games ever. Even when you know the outcome you are still setting on the edge of your seat.
