Floods, water quality, aquifer depletion, habitat and wildlife loss, the list goes on. Are farmers really that ignorant on the effects of drain tile?

Have you ever researched the effects of tile??? Or do you just regurgitate talking points? Do some investigating and have facts before you freak out on what people do on private land…

surface drain i.e. ditches or overland flooding
or the land before it was tilled up and farmed.

They all have a roll in it, as does ag tile. There are currently no areas designed to deal with surplus run off. Then when we get flooding all the educated designers of the current systems act surprised, why?
