Yes I can see smiles

I do not.. I see the : and letters where smileys are to be this past week, which coincides with the hotos not being seen.
FYI, I am looking from a PC. Both MSE and Firefox I get the same visual. And the same view (no photos or smileys) using my smart phone (does not have tapatalk loaded on it). Which leads me to think that it is a site glitch.
