I’m not afraid to lower myself to squirrel hunting but I’ll be damned if I catch a bass in the fall and smile about it! Haha

I’d really like to hammer some fall walleye and crappie but I’m afraid that ain’t gonna happen soon.

I’ve only eaten one squirrel so far but it was really good so I’m all in, especially since my duck hunting has dried up.

As for cleaning, YouTube “realtree tail method” and do that. Slick. A college buddy told me cleaning squirrel was like trying to skin a tire but this method is easy peasy.

If the squirrel hunting goes the way of the duck hunting around here I guess that’ll get me into fishing but so far I don’t think there’s too many squirrel hunters around.

Went to Montana with only mule deer doe tags. That took all of one day. Came back through ND and Webster SD, western MN. Hardly saw a duck. More snows and Canadian geese around.

Still doing some soft-ice fishing in anticipation of hard-water.....as all the phags.....er, I mean "kids" say these days.....

Using terms like water & ice make more sense to me but what do I know....

P.S. I wouldn't have lifted the pike like that if it was big....it maybe went 30" and swam off great.
