Your dog behave in a fish house?
Yes. Haven’t had a scenario my dog doesn’t. I brought her with me everywhere since I got her and she has always been well mannered even as a pup. I bring a foam pad or two for her to sit on when we fish portables or outside so she is off the ice. That makes her much more comfortable.
She did not have much drive for birds though so that was the trade off for being such a chill dog. Too laid back I guess. I had trained all our previous dogs for hunting with no help but this one didn’t have the drive for an amateur trainer like me to dial in. All the basic training was cake but hunting training wasn’t clicking. I sent her to a trainer. After picking her up after a few months of training she is the best hunting dog I’ve had or hunted around. She is incredibly smart and just needed some dialing in from a pro. Some of the best money I’ve spent.
