Raise of hands for those that have seen it.

I seen it 15 or so years ago during what they were calling an over land cyclone that blew in from Alaska. Pretty close to this weather too.

Saying tens of thousands of ducks in the air at any time is probably a light estament. Pretty crazy since it was in redwood county mn. Only regret is that nobody was with to witness it with me. Something I'll never see again in my life.

I've seen it several times, but not since I think about 18-19 yrs now. That is when 3M Snows rode the NW wind down to IL. I think it was Oct 28th - a Thursday. Snow squalls all day long, when ever you could see I saw nothing but waterfowl riding the wind 45 to 70 MPH ground speed winds to the SE. Next morning it was 15 and Fri was 25 for high and you could walk on the ice on the sloughs. 3 days prior not a bit of ice as it was in the upper 50s. Between the migration and Mother nature turning on a dime - experiencing that humbles a man.

Gail warnings for Superior. Reminds of of Gordon Lightfoot's Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. That song is just plain eeire... still gives me goosebumps as I remembers on WCCO the reporting it missing that morning of Nov10th.

Like I said earlier if the temps drop 1 or 2 degrees...

Now 4-6" through Mn from N to S down the middle of the state.
Map as of 6PM Thurs.

I don't think it's a grand passage but given devils lake will have lows of 18 or lower in a week for awhile they will be locked up pretty good. So I certainly think the next week will see massive movements. Regina Canada will be seeing lows around 10 by wendesday. Southern mn should be hot next week. I guess I'm stealing fowlers thunder her. Lol.
