I'll be doing my part in getting guns off the street and help those without TP!
Turn your gun into me and you'll receive 1 roll of toilet paper.
No questions asked.

Listen to the U’s own Dr. Michael Osterholm on Rogan. The vast majority of people in this country have no idea what’s about to transpire and refuse to accept how bad this is going to be.

• the virus is airborne
• recent studies put it at 1000 times more virulent than influenza, and it spreads easier
• it’s not going away for months, or perhaps well over a year, at which point it will finally stop because there will be essentially no one else to infect
• our healthcare system will be inundated and has the very real possibility of collapsing completely
• estimates put a conservative number of fatalities at 480,000 in the US alone in the next 6-12 months
• once this is over, it will dwarf influenza

Dwarf influenza as in the Spanish flu that killed millions?

So basically he said everyone is going to get it?

The math doesn't work with the predicted death number (480,000), the mortality rate and the us population, someone is not telling the truth.

https://www.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboar ... 7b48e9ecf6

The mortality rate has held contently around 3.4%. Had a long discussion last weekend with my brother-in-law and sister-in-law, both are Dr.'s at mayo and people are needlessly freaking the **** out. LOL, most virus are airborn.

What’s the population of the USA? 360,000,000 or so?

480,000 is a far cry from 3.4%

The logic behind the estimated death rate is that this figure is:

A. Conservative

B. The virus was initially thought to only be droplet transmissible

C. Italy is seeing an alarming number of affected individuals in the 40 something age range, and these are severe cases. This IS NOT only an old person’s disease

D. (Edited)
Within the next 3-7 months:
480,000 fatalities
96 million infected
48 million hospitalized
10-15 times worse than the worst seasonal flu
These are US statistics alone

What people fail to take into consideration is that as the cases rise, hospitals will be inundated and care will not be able to be provided to many people due to lack of resources. When this happens, the percentage of those who die will increase significantly.

The population is around 320 Million @ 3.4% mortality rate that math can't possibly work.

I just the death rate is much less than the 3.4%.

The new case rates in China are slowing.
China has a population of 1.4 billion people.
China is about the same size space wise.
The death numbers there should be in millions according to some. Right?
Life is going back to normal in China, I work with a Chinese women and her parents still live there. They were quarantined for a few weeks and now life is going back to normal.
What are the cure rates in China? Death rates?

People need to get a grip.
