h2ofwlr's prediction so far has been spot on. At what point do we correctly start referring to it as a "prophecy" instead of a prediction?

MN......

Drought score jumps from an 87 all the way up to 148 with 100% of the state abnormally dry to severe drought seen along the Iowa border.

ND.....

The drought slightly loosens it's stranglehold on the state with it's drought score dropping a nearly insignificant amount from 386 to 376. The portion of the state in "exceptional drought" remains unchanged at 17.68%.

An area that just got like 8 inches of rain is still in moderate to extreme drought? Seems odd but I’m no drought expert. Maybe Fowler can enlighten me.

I’m down for drought. Bring it!

My dad and my cousin aren’t on board but I’m the youngest of the family so I’m cool with it. I got time.

Unless you're talking double digits for rainfall.....

....that shit just sizzles when it hits the ground and almost instantly evaporates in areas hit with "exceptional drought" or even "extreme drought." In areas with "severe drought" once you get up above about 5" of rain it'll start to soak in.

The storm I’m referencing sat in the same spot for like 6 hours. I gotta imagine that soaked in. Got pics of seasonal wetlands a few feet deep that were planted this year. Some crop fields partially washed out. Maybe that’s still drought by definition but some of them fields are straight mud from the pics
I got.

I was totally just joking around. 8" of rain should fully alleviate just about any drought.....

Must have been a Fowler reference. Zinged right on past me.
