When will they finally give up on Ponder? Hopefully he is done for the year and see what Cassel has. Cassel deserves more than 2 starts to prove himself...Ponder has had 2+ years and is still terrible. Cassel actually looked good aside from the batted down passes.

I was at the game, it was just great to hear the dome light up with boo's at ponder all the time. even when they introduced him.

Cassel at least can throw it away when pressured. o well

Fire all the coaches, get a new quarterback and in a couple of years the might be good enough to play in a billion dollar stadium.

yes they can do all that, then AP will be ready to call it quits. sounds like the same deal with mauer and the twins just wasted 2 great players

Trade AP.... the guy deserves a championship...and we need as much help as possible. AP's stock is high.

He.should have more yardage though, shouldn't he. I mean with a quarter.back.that can't pass AP should have a lot more yardage. But then again our possessions suck.

When you start a quarterback that has a zero chance of completing a pass over 10 yards, the defense can stack players at the line. It bottles up AP as well as causes Ponder to throw into tight coverages, double coverages, etc leading to his mistakes. Despite this AP is still leading the NFL in yards and TDs which is simply amazing...there's no other way to put it. Once Cassel came in and started passing down field...not only were we burning them in the passing game, but it spread the D out and AP ended the game with over 200 yards. He only had like 60 yards in the first half when Ponder was in.

That doesn't make sense. If you stack the line you're sacrificing defensive backs, which any solid quarter back with decent wide outs (which I believe we have) would be able to shred.
