Why didn't you start this there and you could have been the first.
There are no ducks in the north zone.

I lived in Ely for three years, hunted ducks basically every day of the season... there's a reason I haven't been back since I left. I wish it was worth the drive, there's no prettier place to hunt ducks, there just aren't any.

Because it was not possible. Hence this thread, here.
And everyone's right - less ducks there than anywhere else I've been in the state in the fall. But it's where I live, so I gotta make due.

You guys are funny. Duluth is the Stuttgart North of the Mason Dixon.
Sarcasm aside, the NW part of the state is hands down the best waterfowl area in the state. Last time I checked the Northwest was in the North Zone.

Way to go guy. We had all the internet scouters thinking the North Zone is void of ducks. 612ers and 763ers are going to be flocking to NW MN to come shoot your ducks Felon.
Everyone knows Western MN is where it is at.
You are right though. Duluth sucks for duck hunting.
