How are you going about getting new members?

Mon Nov 25, 2013 7:12 pm

Is the word out there that there's another MN waterfowl site? Figured there would be more of a mass exodus from TOS. Or is it better to let this site grow slowly?
Ask Al how to successfully nest wood ducks, see you next season.

I've chosen to take a back seat on the recruitment efforts after a lot of consideration. Given the circumstances with my prior involvement & moderation, I'd like to avoid any recourse on claims against intellectual property etc. You'll notice my account no longer exists over there and it's for good reason.

I got five pm's about this place. But you were the first to do so. Guess you can claim me since you were my first.

I have to say I'm a bit over-whelmed with how well this has picked up, I honestly thought it was just going to be a handful of us bawking about how bad things got and this place would have fizzled out over night. Very happy to see that's not the case, and I certainly don't want to let you guys down.

I have a couple of facebook ads pending approval to generate some new signups, they have been kind to me in the past so I'm hoping this time is no different and we can expect to see some new blood around here.

I sincerely thank you guys for your efforts in recruitment and investing a little faith in the operation here. If you have any suggestions on how to gain more members or changes you'd like to see I am all ears!

It remains as it always has, and is actually what makes this forum possible. The role of FowlNation shifted from ad based community revenue to providing hosting services quite some time ago, and it's been the best move ever made to date.
