A drought would be fine with me, but considering the circumstances I say it's highly unlikely.
Ask Al how to successfully nest wood ducks, see you next season.

After this last summer and the flooding rains we got in my area, I wouldn't mind seeing most of the wetlands that normally are 4 foot deep or less mostly dried up by this fall.

After the last few winters waters were looking pretty clean and green till all the ditches flowed backwards and over into the them. RestockIng the fish that had froze out.

The massive rain events suck ass. The best part of low snow is a smaller charge, and if the spring stays dry, maybe there's a shot things come down.

From what I've heard/seen, August/September are the biggest months for water evaporation. They are typically drier, not hotter. Spring rains/melt help with the temporary wetlands, but I don't know how much of those we actually have left.

No such thing as temporary wetlands in my part of the state anymore. Hell the fields hardly have sheet water anymore with all the grid tile going in the last five years.

Was talking to a farmer in SD last fall, he thought we were heading into a major drought this spring/summer. With little snow and a dry fall it's not great so far. For Minnesota a drought would be great, for the Dakotas too I think. Our Springs are so wet anymore I wouldn't worry until June. If it's still dry, than it's drought city.

we do not need a drought here, it will just give the farmers more room to farm up to the edge of every pot hole , last fall while out scouting I saw a guy combining a bean field that was feet away from a pond, the bank gave away and he got stuck in the mud and was getting pulled out with a dozer when I drove by, just retarded
