The MN DNR seems to think we need walleyes in every little piss hole in this state.

I have heard the same thing about the bird numbers in SW MN prior to the aerator, walleye, chub movement. My buddies who live down there say no one even fishes most of them.

Funny how 10 foot deep lakes in the Dakotas can produce awesome fishing and duck hunting. Aerators are a joke. All they do is sustain rough fish populations. Stock walleye and perch I. Non aerated lakes when water levels are normal to high, but let them winterkill. That will help keep rough fish populations down, increase water quality, and make the lakes more fertile. You'd probably start to see some nice perch fisheries and decent duck hunting in some areas in less than 5 years.
