2016 Gear Thread!

Tue Sep 06, 2016 7:34 pm

Oh man, can't believe it's almost here! TONS of birds, new birds. One pond that only had swans on it had like 30 ducks today. No field for early goose, but I have to work anyway, so it's just me blowing calls in the car on the way to work LOL!!!!. Anyway, I was at Fleet Farm checking out some deals on decoys and looking at some fast grass mats and some raffia (for another thread, but: is one better than the other?)..... ANYWAY, I realized:

I own nothing with "Duck Dynasty" on it.

So, looking to you guys for some advice on this. For a guy on a budget what is the ONE piece of Duck Dynasty waterfowl gear that will really bring them in cupped and committed?

So you know where I'm coming from: I got 3 dozen GHG mallards, 3 baby mojos, and typically run half dozen Big Foot floaters off to the one side. I get A LOT of divers coming into this spread two! I typically hunt Carlos, Sherburne or Pelican.

TIA!

First you will have to grow a beard? I thought you hunted Diamond and French?

Got to have their face black cream.

But truth be told the dc teal call is one of the better ones I've used.

Diamond and French got too overrun by the Yuppies and their McMansions. I like a little more adventure LOL!!!! Listening to Muffy tell her Kick-a-poo it's okay, those meanies aren't going to hurt you..... Puh-lease.

I got a Yeti Hoodie. Super WARM. What's funny, they make things to keep things cold. Those tumblers sure are nice though, but I don't think I'd use it enough.... unless Fleet Farm would trade for some decals and a Avery pro-staff trailer sticker LOL!!!!

I'll have to get some pictures posted from last year. Still one duck I need some help with i.d. on. Still feel bad about that kid's 4H goose, really thought it was a snow.

I've been wearing duck commander camo all summer. I'm excited to have a need for it soon.

You'd probably get a lot better advice asking this question on Facebook. Those guys know their sh*t. You can tell by the amount of decals they sport.

That is what I was going to say, some face paint to look supposedly Bad Ass as a hunter.

I have nothing DC. But I have to give credit to Willy and CO to make millions off of non duck hunters and gullible duck hunters.
