Thermacell

Mon Jun 19, 2017 8:55 am

When Thermacell came out, wasn't it like $50-$100 for the operating unit?

Finally picked up my first one for $20.... and it's as awesome as everyone says they are. But my brain has always been: a can of Deep Woods Oil Sheen DEET is like $5.00, I"m not spending that much on mosquito control.

Guessing I'll have two more by end of the week. It's just too easy, particularly working in the garage at sunset when I don't want to dose myself an hour before bedtime.

I hate being this late to a party.

What kind of applications do they work?

Could you hang by where you are working in garden or actually like wear it in garden?? Mosquitoes piss me off in the garden.

I figured that Mary Jane in your garden should be worth enough for you to be to afford a Thermacell for full price...

Hey Rob, where did you did it for $20? PM me if you want.

Fleet farm, regular price.

Yes, it should work in the garden. Might want a couple, or you can get a holster to carry it. 15' effective radius. Takes 10-15 minutes to clear the area./be effective.

I've never used one but I hear they're pretty sweet as long as you aren't sitting in a breeze

If the breeze is steady and you play it right, I think you'd be okay. Not sure how it would work for more showed than a hike, like on a lawn tractor.

Jacked about using it camping. "Rules" say don't use it in your tent, but I'd have to figure right next to an open window went hurt.

I thinks it's because it is actually current fuel for not using inside.

There is a rubber coated one out now. I have 3 or 4 of them. You can get different scents so it doesnt scare deer away.

Should have left them going when loading up after the hunt today. Dawn things were in full attack mode by the truck.
