Something to do on a weekend. The Mankato event has the regional duck/goose calling competition.

IMO, Scheel's has some good buys during these events. I've found their prices a little cheaper than Cabela's. You also can shoulder their firearms there without asking the sales staff.

Scheels apears to be more yuppie than any other store on first glance, if you can get past the 200$ sunglasses, yoga pants, ndsu gear and the Ferris wheel (specifically in the fargo store) and make your way upstairs, there are competive prices and a good selection of various gear. Also most of the time there is a non high school dbag there who is actually prepared to answer questions. When I bought my first layout bling the guy working the waterfowl area showed me how to set it up and break it down 3 times before I bought it. That gets customer loyalty, also the expos are normally pretty good
