Was just down around new ulm Friday, lots of divers between there and St Peter in the flooded fields. Kept my eyes peeled for snows but didn't see any

Herons today.... The back water in the MN seems to be holding it's own against Third Winter.

Looks like spring cleaning will actually stay clean this year, gf's cats heart just exploded and it fell off the table convulsing, in the two min it took to yank the GF out of bed to say goodbye to her pet it was done breathing. Good riddens. Might have to get a lab now to cheer her up

I always chuckle when I see those geese standing on the ice. There were several on lake normandale in Bloomington the other day, must be 18" of ice. The drive to nest is so strong in honkers.

Last Wed there was 23" of ice, a medium hardness ice. 1st time that I did not drive out this year. The landing was getting sketchy and did not want to risk dumping the truck. But if I had a Ranger 4x4 or similar light weight vehicle I would have drove out. Considering what a UTV costs, a guy would be far ahead financially to find a good condition 20yr old Ranger for their ice fishing use for early and late ice fishing.
.
God, help me be the man that my dog thinks that I am.

A 20+ year old 3 wheeler is best for late ice, if it's over 20 years old no registration required so if it goes down you just leave it
