I get a free copy of this Magazine monthly as a product of my NRA membership, sometimes I read it sometimes I don't, then I found this interesting little article.

"Duck Hunter Saved by Floating Decoys"
"Three Minnesota waterfowlers are alive today thanks to the very tools they utilized to attract their quarry: floating duck decoys. According to reports, the men were returning to shore when their boat capsized, sending all three and their gear into the frigid waters. While wearing heavy gear that threatened to sink them, they swam toward the only lifelines available--their decoys--and made use of them by shoving them under their arms. For 30 minutes the group help on until rescuers were able to pull them from the water. Despite mild hypothermia, the three hunters survived without injury."

There is no author cited or I would supply his name.

Pretty cool little story.

Well, thank God that someone had the common sense to grab onto anything that would float. Survival mode at it's best.
