Kayak hunting....

I've used my kayak quite a bit dragging in to WMA/WPA, but have never shot from it. It's a bit traditional in design and the cockpit is cramped.

At Fleet Farm today I saw a kayak with a larger cock pit and wider stance, better access to hauling/Storage areas, and 5 lbs lighter with stake holes for anchor dowels ...

Guessing I'm trying to pick one up regardless ..

But curious: anyone ever shoot out of a kayak before?

Might sound crazy, but I do own an F7 and am not afraid of that, so thinking I could pull off shooting from the kayak.

Not out of a kayak, but love my Stealth. Never been super comfortable in canoes/kayaks

I’ve spent a lot of time in my Carstens puddler but at 80lbs it’s kind of a pig. Plus it doesn’t track/glide that well. Leaves me wanting a hellbender

Is Derek even still making any? Last I had heard he was in FL and that was several years ago.

His bull model is sweet. Hadn’t seen that one yet.

I’ve shot from kayaks. Your center of gravity is so low in a yak that you’d really have to get hosed up to flip it.

I've got an inflatable camo kayak that is unflipable, that thing rocks! But getting closer to 50 and find rigid 'yaks better for my decreasing mobility.

I may return as a single drop of rain, but I will remain, and I'll be back again and again and again and again....
