EDINA = Every day I Need Allowance
Caker eaters - wealthy suburbs are mostly "new money" families.
15 to 30 yrs ago Plymouth and Eden Prairie became the new Edina. And now the last 15 yrs Chanhassen is just like Edina was 40 yrs ago. Eastern EP & Mtka and Hopkins is now becoming more like St Louis Park was 25 yrs ago. with the hoodlums/welfare free loaders moving in.
I remember when about 30 yrs ago Menards bought the 40 acres on the NE corner of Hwy 5 & 41 and wanted to build a store there. City of Chanhassen - nope , we don't want that type of store in our city. A few yrs ago Walmart wanted to build, they said the same thing. (What the **** they think that the Galleria is going to be moving in here anytime soon?) Also city of Chanhassen is known as Chanhassle to the residents. All sorts of **** rules now days.
I remember when my immediate family was over 1% of its population 55 yrs ago as the village of Chanhassen had 468 people in 1963, now it's over 20k, many living in the "beige" colored 2 & 3 story housing vinyl siding developments. (barf!)
Good God this country boy (grew up with a gravel road with 10-20 horses each Saturday riding down that road, with a farm field across the road, and a cattle operation 1/4 mile from me), I wish I had the $ to get out of Chanhassen and go buy some land 30+ miles NW of me so I'd be rid of the uppity BS.
.
God, help me be the man that my dog thinks that I am.
