Before people accuse me of being crazier than I already am allow me to explain:

The B1G West is very weak this year, in my opinion, and Gophers team that finished last season strong proved they can hang with any of the also-rans (Iowa, Wisconsin, etc.) With the Gophers coming back better all they have to do is go 6-2, maybe even 5-3 as long as they have the head-to-head win against anyone else with the same record and place in the B1G standings....

....to get into the championship game in Indianapolis.

I think Ohio State and Michigan are going to be really good and whichever program emerges from the East will trounce any team from the West.

I think either Ohio State and/or Michigan will be so good that they'll get into the four team national championship playoffs.

The Big Four Bowls rotate who gets to host the national championship game and semifinal games, and one bowl sits out of the format each year.

This year the one of the big four bowls is the Rose Bowl. Thus, they will host the best teams from the B1G and the Pac-12....or the next best teams if one from their conference gets into the playoffs.

Thus, a Gophers team that goes 5-3 in conference play could very realistically....well, maybe better phrased as, "it isn't that far-fetched" that a slightly above average Gophers team that gets trounced in the B1G championship game gets a Rose Bowl berth.

Easy money by going down to Diamond Joe's and betting on the Gophers to thump Fresno State. Everyone is talking about this game like the Gophers are going to get their asses kicked....as if Fresno State getting beat by a very bad USC team is something to fear. Sure, the Jackrabbits almost beat the Gophers but the Jacks were playing out of their mind....just all jacked up.

Bet big on the Gophers in a blowout of Fresno State.

The Gophers are Golden on this one....trust me.

I was waiting for someone to rip me on my game call picking the Gophers and telling everyone to take it to the bank....since it took them double OT to win.....

.....but the spread was 2.5 and they won by 3, so had anyone gone down to Iowa and bet the farm based on my prediction?

They would've won.
