That'd be sweet!

I actually know a guy....well, friend of a friend that I met at numerous social functions, fishing and hunting trips, etc.

He speared a 56" and then took pictures of him holding it in his garage and started texting them to a bunch of people. Many of them pretty dedicated muskie fishermen. One turned him into the DNR. Due to the spear marks not being evident in the photo, and the photo technically being of the dude holding a legal fish in a location where it was impossible to determine the time of year it was taken.....the CO assigned the tip didn't think he had anything. But he was going to fulfill his obligation to investigate the case so he went to the lake the tip told him he had his darkhouse on and low and behold there was a truck parked next to his shack, and low and behold when he went in to ask questions.....

.....dude had a 54" he just speared on the floor of his shack.

Kind of hard to talk your way out of that one.

This is the one I did for the h2ofwlr. After he left even while painting it was hard to keep the loss of him off my mind....I just miss him so much....

Anyways, I never liked the shadows and wanted to touch up a couple other things. I like it a lot better now, but I'd like it most if I could enjoy looking at it with my one and only...

This is a garbage one I started while bored. Sometimes I'll start a small one little guy hoping that it will get the creative juices flowing or it'll turn into something I like enough to finish out......sometimes they do, sometimes they don't....this one did not.....

Come to think of it....here's another garbage one.....me trolling past the smallest national wildlife refuge in existence.....

It varies. I feel like I did a lot of my early ones in a couple hours or less but my process is taking longer....and my work is subsequently getting better. On a bigger one like the bluebills I'm guessing I have 8-10 hours in it...maybe more?

On a smaller one like the one of me boating past that cormie infested rock out in Mille Lacs....which I'm going with the story that I would've added them had I finished it....I've got maybe a little over an hour into it.
