I'm not crazy about this one.....luckily I got more canvases and can let it simmer versus painting over. There's several things that I think would make it better to much better, but I don't know if I like it enough to continue to put time into it....at least for right now.....a month or two from now? I might feel differently....we'll see......

..... what's weird to me with the pets is the non-working dog pets that people get so hung up over. The extend of their relationship is having a dog lick their face with it's ass soaked tongue, while they smile, give it food and shelter, call it some foo-foo nicknames and dress it in sweaters. This isn't a slag on people needing companion animals, especially single old folks. This is on the lollipop kids and women with dogs in purses.

It pisses me off they let dogs into Scheels, people think the dog park is "fun", and the fact pet psychics exist is helluva better sign that we are done as a society than any Palestine/Israel blow-up.

It's amazing how many people think they should feel free to bring their dog into a bar. A lot of people don't like dogs, might have allergies, etc. There's a lot of people who think kids shouldn't be allowed into bars....I kind of agree depending on the bar. Where does the line get drawn? If people can bring their dog into an establishment....why not allow pigs....or ponies?



Still fiddle-phucking around on this one. Painting dense woods is tough.....I really struggle on giving it depth. There aren't a lot of shadows due to the lighting in dense woods....especially on an overcast day like the sky really should be in this one.....but unlike open country where it's easy to depict distance/perspective....thick woods are a bee-atch...

Plus I want to make the deer kind of "pop" but that's not what they do....they blend in...are like the most perfectly camouflaged mammal out there a lof of the time. Deer in the woods grayish brown on a grayish brown backdrop.....I'll just chalk this one sucking due to my subject choice...yeah, that's it....poor choice of subject material..... that's why this one sucks.
