The Walruz cancels Thanksgiving

What has Walz done in the past 6 months to help our hospitals prepare for the surge that everyone predicted would be coming this fall and winter? Honest question. It’s weird everyone including Walz seems surprised by what’s happening now.

The only things I have seen are his lockdown measures that have forced several small businesses to close their doors for good with several more to follow.

Masks and social distancing probably help but there is only so much we can do. That’s been proven around the country and around the world. Seems to me more government assistance should have been on hospital prep Instead of on government restrictions. PPE and ventilators are only a small part of the prep that was needed.

As for his thanksgiving restrictions they are a joke. I’d bet Walz won’t follow his own restrictions just like Newsom didn’t.

watched that video. what's gut wrenching is this doctors disregard for life. this is a guy that took an oath to at 1st do no harm. just sad that anyone can take what is happening in MN right now and say "it's ok that old people are dying" no it's not jus old people in the hospital it's not just people with comorbidities. it's teenagers on ecmo and healthy 26 yr old that throws a clot and has a stroke. This virus is doing some strange things to very healthy people.

I'm fortunate where I work that our hospital system has done great in making sure our providers are protected. We have a very low infection rate of taking care of patients. We have a horrible time with our employees getting it from community spread. nearly 93% of our employees who are out with covid got it from the community. These are the people who cant come wipe your @$$ when you are sitting in your own sh!t sedated and intubated in the icu.

The government can print more money and give it to these small businesses.

As far as thanksgiving goes let me tell you a story that just played out yesterday. A close family friend 68 yrs old went to see his grandson play a highschool football game at the end of october. Wore a mask at the game. Went to his grandsons and didn't wear a mask. spent the night at his sons house. 5 days later contracted covid from his grandson who was asymptomatic. Yesterday was rushed to the hospital and admitted for low saturations and difficulty breathing. This scenario is no different than what will happen next Thursday.

Everyone is entitled to your own decisions. Please do the smart thing. Stay home, facetime your family and get hammered drunk and plow the wife.

Agreed. If only it were that easy. Many businesses that got the PPP loan still went bankrupt and will never come back. Meanwhile a ton of businesses got the PPP loan that will be forgiven yet they never suffered a loss of income. Kind of like the $600 a week that gave a lot of people raises when coupled with state unemployment.

We could have saved a ton of tax payer money while also helping all small businesses and people suffering to help them get through the lockdowns if the government thought it through and did it right. Instead they just printed money and gave it out like candy to millions of people and businesses that didn’t need it. Can’t say I’m surprised given the governments track record.

Walz kept telling businesses and individuals that he understands their financial hardships during his lockdown address. I highly doubt he truly understands people’s struggles. It’s an easy thing to say but not so easy to understand without experience. It kinda felt like he was giving the middle finger to all those people.

How is hospital capacity an issue 9 to 10 months in?

I keep asking for it but none of the people preaching for wearing masks can provide me with any science that supports how wearing them reduces the rate of transmission.

Other than the one study that shows a maximum possible reduction of 2% after 21 days of full compliance that I've posted up repeatedly no one has put up any of "the science" in support of wearing masks.

It's funny how the side claiming to be on the side of science doesn't have any. If you disagree and think I'm being an ignorant asshole....then by all means, share with us the science you've personally read and reviewed that's contrary to what I just stated. I would absolutely love to take a look at it.

One total bullshit study that had it been done two months later using the same exact methodology would've produced findings showing that masks actually increase the rate of transmission....that's it? That's all you got?

Only a complete arrogant and hypocritical fukc would have the audacity to hide behind their claims that the science is on their side yet haven't even bothered to take a look at what the supposed science is. It's outrageous to point fingers and tell people to do shit while not having a fukcing clue what you're talking about or having any reasons besides blindly believing the bullshit the media has spoonfed you without questioning it.

The bottom line is anyone who thinks their health is dependent on me doing something for them-----is absolutely fukced.

The world is full of assholes like me who don't give a flying fukc about your health, or anyone else's health, but their own.

If you don't like that then get the fukc out of this capitalist country and move to a communist country where they fukcing cane people on site for not wearing a mask to "protect the collective good."

Extremely old and extremely sick people have always died. A handful more of them are dying this year because a new cold was introduced to the masses and medical science hasn't caught up yet to keep people alive who really shouldn't be alive in the first place.

That's what this "pandemic" is in a nutshell.
