Glad to see they finally listened and offered a teal season and changed the southern split. Would have liked a longer teal season but I guess it is a start.

Bet we hear a lot of people blame their lack of opener success on teal season and YWD.

Didn't DA say the ducks would all be gone by 2020 if we keep expanding opportunity? Maybe he'll push that out to 2030 now that we have a teal season.

early teal, 2 days of YWD, early goose on water, There is plenty of shooting going around regardless of the 4pm closure. Pretty sure when i was growing up down there it was only 1 day of YWD

It was half day when we were growing up.

Out of all of it, I’m most annoyed with young weekend, even tho that’s not a new change. Just unnecessary.

I fully support ywd but I also think 2 days is unnecessary.

Agree with fowlmind on the 4pm closure change. I think the benefits of having it outweigh the negative of not being able to hunt afternoons at the start of the season.

I remember the days we could only hunt from noon till 4 opening day.

The birds need cover and food if they are going to stay around. By the time we start our season we are already getting migrators.

I haven't seen people hunting water on goose season in years just for the fact there is few and no geese on our early season in the south. You could go all early season down here and might get to shoot at one flock.
