WNBA---How Is It Possible?

I turned on the TV and on ABC, one of the few channels I get (antenna only), they're currently playing a WNBA game. New York and I have no idea who the other team was since I shut it off right away.
How is it possible that on the Sunday of Labor Day Weekend, a network can play a WNBA game and not just hemorrhage giant sums of money?
How is it possible?
I'd love to see the actual figures....what it costs the network to be up, operating, and sending out a signal.....
....and the revenue they're taking in by nationally televising a WNBA game.
