Very, very cool info....a sincere thanks for sharing. I loved it....already shared it with a couple friends and brothers.

It's crazy how rapid that biblical plague-like drought turned into a biblical spring-time flood forecast.

The snow around here is ridiculous. The high drifts were waist high on Saturday in the woods prior to the 20" of snow we got Sunday through Tuesday. Those drifts are now damn near to my shoulders......

Drought US & Canada maps

I have a friend in Cody, WY and he has yet to use his snowblower this winter.

I read the other day that 60% of the lower 48 is in at least a mild drought.
And that parts of the West are in the worst drought since the European midevil times.

How come MN is never in the area that's going to be much warmer than the expected average?

Here in the West metro there is obvious affects of the drought yet even after the snow melt. Im seeing ponds and small sloughs down 1 to 3' yet. I have 1 combo post where the water has to go up 1' just to reach the post. Normally it's 2' of water at the post. I sure hope we get a 3" rain with runoff to help refill the ponds a bit.
Granted the storm retention ponds are mostly full, but that's because of all the water coming off the streets and highways.
Overall I have seen the unmistakable evidence of the lasting drought heading into the spring of '22 as the maps show above (medium tan color) of a moderate drought .

Ya pretty surprised how "low" ponds still are...see how this rain runs off today

Are they low or just lower than historically high levels last several years
