Stuff is worth what people are willing to pay for it, so by all means make as much money on them as you can....

.....but can't you buy decen 16ga lead for $22-$25 a box new?


I'm the type of dude who is going to pass on dealing with someone to buy used shotshells and instead pay retail. Unless we start talking a price difference of under half......like $10 a box for the lot your selling instead of $20.


Not trying to be a dick, or show interest and start haggling on the price since I don't have a 16ga.....but figured I'd offer my opinion/buying habits in case you don't sell them and another opinion might be helpful.

I hear ya. 16ga has been harder to find than other shells and is pricey. Some of these are older box’s from the 50s, 60s and 70s and some older that guys collect. The older Winchester loads have compression formed hulls that guys really like to reload and they don’t make them anymore.

I’ve got 5+ more cases of lead 16ga and 3+ cases of boss 16ga bismuth. For the one 16ga I take out 2-3 times a year I’m probably about good for my life time and these have no collector value for me.
