Man, what a shitty year for ice fishing?

I haven't even been out yet lol. We may go throw some tip ups out next weekend for pike once the weather moderates a little.

Yea been a tough year for conditions. Good news is a lot of lakes are getting a break from pressure. Good year to have a snowmobile.

We are finally forming some ice on the lake now. Just in time for my dogs surgery on Friday and I’ll be restricted close to home. FML. We were able to poke out this weekend on a few inches of some new ice and got my first 30+ brown.

I think it’s got a lot of growing to do based on its build. Hopefully somebody gets that buck in the mid 30’s in the next couple years.

Hell of a fish, man!

Went and chased crappies around a basin with the livescopes searching for slabs. Low density lake but it kicks out big ones. This was the biggest of the day.

Red is kicking out lots of crappies this year. Might do a spring trip to see if I can finally crack 15.
