Amazing how much of this is soaking into the ground...shoveled through the snowbank at the road this weekend to allow water a way to escape the yard... hardly any standing water was a waste of time. Not like that other years guess the lack of frost did wonders
I will most likely be ice fishing locally this weekend and possibly up at the cabin the next unless I get my boat out. Taking the wheeler.
Not because I want to all that much but because I have nothing else to do.
Snow piles are still here but I can see grass in about a third of my lawn. We melted about 30 inches of hard pack snow in a few days. It was wild. I have never seen a melt that quick. Ground must not have had much frost because a lot soaked right in which is good because many were concerned with flooding. Small rivers are out of their banks but not the big ones.
I think I heard on the radio that we are two tenths of an inch from breaking our local snow record for the winter. It’s looking like we might get it over the next week.
