Not clue. I’ve got a bucket I dumped some cheap fmj and hand loads into. I’ve looked over all my load data and made some more just to be sure and double check everything, I can’t get enough powder in the case to double charge if I tried.

I don’t know that I’d discount the cheap factory stuff as the culprit. Can’t say I’ve seen it with pistol but plenty of 5.56 cheap stuff. Results weren’t as devastating but scary none the less. I always view it as “I can’t reload for that cheap” but there’s often a reason.

Brass not ejecting and being brazed into the tube is friggin hot….
