KIEV/BALACLAVA, Ukraine (Reuters) - Ukraine mobilized for war on Sunday and Washington threatened to isolate Russia economically, after President Vladimir Putin declared he had the right to invade his neighbor, creating Moscow's biggest confrontation with the West since the Cold War.

"This is not a threat: this is actually the declaration of war to my country," Ukraine's Prime Minister Arseny Yatseniuk, head of a pro-Western government that took power when Russian ally Viktor Yanukovich fled last week, said in English.

Who is speaking for Ukraine? They ran their leaders out of office. The news that I caught said the people in the region that Russia took wants to be part of Russia. I don't see the problem.

As with any of the wars or any military action since WW11 it has nothing to do with right or wrong. It is 100% about making the makers of military hardware rich, which leads to kickbacks for politicians in the form of campaign contributions and jobs/money after they are out of office.

Russia would crush us.

We need to mind our own business and stay completely out of Russian affairs. There is no national security threat to us if the Russians and the Ukraine go to war. We need to stop being the "World's Police" and to stop worrying about Communism.

IMO, the Arms/Munitions/Security Industries are looking for some more gorging on the American tax dollar and they must have Obama's ear. (They are hard to miss!).

Bingo. Perfect opportunity to use against the proposed military cuts.

Okay:

1) it's the Ukraine.... same thing happened in Georgia in 2008
2) Obama is fighting for relevance in his Lame Duck session with mid-term elections coming up
3) There is no gain for ANY politician facing election to support more military spending due to voters gagging on the last 15 years

Obama is rattling his pen set grandma gave him for graduating from Harvard. The press is jumping on this because it is just coming of Sochi and now has something to juxtapose. Putin, for whatever reason, appears like he will live for ever, and any little Block countries that pet him will get attention.

WWIII? Who makes this stuff up? Guessing it starts with some "promoter" web site that finds something, puts a whacky title on it, and hopes it goes viral.....
