Used to get them into my parents yard they had 5 acres, attempted shooting them with a bow until I had one fly away with an arrow in it then I stopped

Had some rough travel mishaps on our way up but made up for it with some killer fishing our first day. Between the six of us we released at least another dozen halibut and 15 ling cod. Never could find a halibut over 30 pounds. Got some massive lings up to 50 lbs. Broke off a 7 foot salmon shark by the boat. Scenery out of Seward is amazing.

Nice looking fish man! I got sent up on the parks hwy for work. My buddy has a slip for his boat in Seward and never found any big halibut out there this year. I am not sure if you know or not but did you head out towards montegue? Or the chiswells? Or when you left the bay did you got left or right? I ah e thought about keeping my boat in Seward but it’s a lot longer boat ride to places and I think they get more weather then homer does

I’m not sure what the spots were called. Went pretty much straight out from Seward once we got to the ocean. Fished some reefs that topped out around 250-300. It was about an hour a half boat ride out before we fished. The first spot was like bluegill fishing. As soon as it got to the bottom you were getting bit. Had to move cause we got our yellow eye right away and didn’t want to keep killing them.

Silver fishing has been slow but my buddy has been getting us on our limits with a little work. Fished trout for a bit and the Dolly’s and rainbows were going nuts. Also went and checked out some brown bears with Timothy treadwell.
