Oh you know it! Stocked a bunch of smallies the past 4-5 years. The only problem with them is they push all the crappies off the cribs.....they're territorial and love the cribs so instead of the cribs being stacked with crappies they've got a handful of smallies on them. Still kinda cool to have in the lake and catch occasionally.

The neighbors must be pretty puzzled when they pull cats and smallies out of a tiny inland lake.

I caught a Muskie and a smallie on the lake I grew up on and the lake has neither. I am sure both were private stockings.

There was a story popped up on my phone other day about a walleye caught at a Utah reservoir that isn't supposed to be there. And the dnr is all in full emergency mode for monitoring, test netting etc. My mind instantly went to felon lol

The neighbors generally don't catch shit. I released a double tagged walleye from Mille Lacs praying someone would catch and report it.....technically, it would be possible for a walleye from Mille Lacs to get in the lake, but it'd involve it swimming down the entire length of the Rum and then back up the Mississippi, somehow getting upstream through several dams.....I got a kick out of thinking about some dude at the DNR's head exploding trying to figure it out.


I had the same story pop up on my phone too mlds! Sounds like someone who's smart pioneering a great new walleye fishery. Those big reservoirs could be PRIME in a few years. I like how they thought they could eradicate walleyes from a lake they've been established in.....impossible.
