I've had almost 2" of rain in the last day. And the NWS is predicting 1-2" more for the next couple of days.
Some nests have flooded out. I saw a canada goose a mile from me--the eggs were under water. A low spot in a hay field 1/4 mile away was at least 3' deep in the middle and covered several acres, Yesterday it was 6" and a 40' x 80' area of water. One MHN that was out of the water 3' a few days ago was 1' above the water this afternoon.
Did the guys in SW Mn get any of this rain? I saw that is was considered drought conditions a few days back.

And according to the weather people, we may expect another 2-3 days of rain/showers.
Hopefully the DNR will lift the burning ban.....I have a lot of brush to get rid of.

That statewide? Friday I saw at least 15 large fires going just from work.

Our county (Washington) has a burn restriction in place right now that I wish was lifted. Hadn't heard anything about a DNR ban.
I have about 2" of standing water in my backyard... if this keeps up my sump pump might actually get a chance to turn on.

One reason I came back from ND Saturday night was the forecast...3 job calls yesterday...one today so far. Over 3" in our rain gauge at the office...lots of standing water around.

It's almost as if rain showers are so common in April that there's an old saying about them. I'm drawing a blank right now but I can't wait for the thread next month about the emergence of flowers.
