How far have you traveled to shoot ducks?

I myself have been as far north as The Pas, Saskatchewan, Canada and as far south as Jackson county Mississippi. We had a section we leased in Arkansas for a couple of years, but that got way to expensive @ $10,000 a year when I stopped doing it.

By the way, we had 10 guys that went in on the lease, I'm not made of money.

I've hunted as far north as douglas county. West to bigstone county, east to brown county and south to cottonwood county. Hey it's hard hunting being this poor and trashy.

I know what you mean about being poor, I haven't been anywhere other the Mn/Wi for the last 7 years. Hoping to go someplace next year. Maybe Angle inlet in Mn again. That was a fun trip except the remote boarder access using the stupid video phones, hope they don't do that any more.

12 1/2 hours by truck. It was somewhere north of Minot ND by some Snow Goose capital and I didn't even shoot a Snow or Blue all though duck hunting over water was good but not 12 1/2 hours in a truck good.

Made it out to Montana one year, probably the most fun I've ever had chasing ducks.

Only Mn and Eastern SD. I would like to try a southern hunt in Dec/Jan. Where can one go and freelance easily?

I've hunted the timber on the cash and white rivers in Arkansas freelance and did o.k, but it takes a lot of time to scout so you know where the birds are. The best and easiest public hunt that I did was out of a pirogue in Jackson county Mississippi, but again you can do a couple day hunt and find the birds.

You used to be able to pay a farmer $150 or so per day for a field. The usually have a pit and decoys out already, but no guide.

Specifically for duck, just Mn. But for goose hunting, ND, MB, SK, SD, & MO. On fall goose hunts, ducks are just bonus birds.
