Looking at buying an otter/beavertail boat from a friend. Unsure what I'd use it for but I bet I could find a couple uses for it.

Wanting to get a dozen Avian X mallard floaters to see if nice decoys make a difference for ducks.

For shooting, I'm sticking with the spray and pray technique.

Wiggle wobble decoys. We'll see if it works.

Okay, one more thing to try.....maybe. I'm seriously looking at one of the Wonderduck, feeder models. Dang if that thing doesn't move and create ripples! I'm getting to lazy for a jerk cord or throwing rocks anymore. I'll maybe just let the D batteries do all of the work.

I've been looking at the wonder ducks too, I came to the conclusion that I maybe have one day a year hunting without enough wind to make ripples (I hunt lakes in western mn, about 20 miles from the red river valley, winds always blowing). I am planning on redoing the frame for my boat blind, gonna try to make a scissor blind work on my 14 ft v. Also playing with the idea of making a ladder to fit my boat that would make it easy to get in and out and also add some stability when hunting in 2 or 3 feet of water.

I am trying a new Backwater 23 hp SWOMP motor. The new Lucky Duck goose flapper. The Goose Tree from Smart Stick. Jerk rig with goose butt decoys. This will be a trial basis and if they don't work I will be having a Sale for slightly used equipment......LOL
I like most things with white cheeks.

I'll be trying a small boat for water to deep to retrieve, jerk string, I also made a contraption to get decoys/ducks if I can't walk out and get them for some reason and don't have the boat. Also got a wind flappin duck thing as a gift I'll give a shot. I'm sure there is more in forgetting (I've been investing in the off season)

This will be my first fall hunting with a dog. Should be interesting.
