WI Teal opener

A few guys said they were heading over to WI for their Teal opener. So how did you do today?

For in case some don't know, it opened up at 9AM this morning.

Saw 1 blue wing teal 2 groups shot at it, its still out there. Most people were gone by 11 lots of woodies, gadwall and mallards though.

Ended up goose hunting because I dont like the 9 am opener. I will be out this weekend to try and shoot a few teal.

I have shot a few. You have too get out and scout to find them!

I was going to go until I talked to the DNR guy at the area I sometimes hunt and he said there was hardly a teal in the area. I went to the state fair instead. Reports I have read on other sites sound pretty poor and sounds like tons of idiots out shooting at mallards, etc.

Just returned & they pounded the hill out of the teal in NE Wisconsin. I was fishing & not hunting
but everyone I talked to had a limit of teal. Sounds like a good time so may buy a WI tag next
year.

I checked several potholes & didn't see one "mistake" duck. After the bullcrap the MN DNR
was spouting off about I expected to see Hundreds of mistake ducks floating LOL
