It's probably still open on the WI/IL side as well. Crazy.

I started the morning with a good laugh.
Turtle Lake in Shoreview froze up over night. My wife noticed this and the 2 dozen stationary geese on the ice.
"They aren't moving", she said.
"They are frozen in place", I replied.
"Can that happen? I suppose it's possible." she said.
I almost fell off my chair laughing.

Riley in Chan/EP is mostly open. 100+ geese, and what I'm guessing was a nice flock of about 50 bluebills landing off the North point. Other ducks mixed in.

South of 212.... but the hunt ability might be a challenge.

An awfull lot of bigshot homes were built on there in the last 20 years. I would not be suprised if you got a visit from the Sheriffs Dept.

I know of a field a mile north of there where they used to slaughter the honkers all season long. Now it's all homes....

WGAF about what ornamental landscape lakes in the metro are froze over. Those lakes aren't huntable regardless.

You mean you don't want to hear about fields h2ofwlr heard about guys shooting geese out of decades back?

Hey h2ofwlr, I know a field north of that same lake that I heard guys used to stack up greenheads like cord wood back in the day. I wonder if it's the same field?
