Stelz was using his buddy's (Jacob) stuff, with Jacob, his brother and his dad. A few others tagged along as well. I haven't heard a think from him since yesterday morning. I hope that all is good with them.

Just curious. Saw a rig driving down road ehile I was shed hunting today with cs sticker and trailer. Seemed too far south for them though.

It was a tough weekend but we shot some. Mainly very large flocks of adults. There is no snow line so that makes the birds pretty spread out. If your going this weekend you will probably do good if you can find and get permission somewhere they are feeding.

Curious as to why theres such a division in the migration this year? Seems like theres adults and juvies as far north as SD, adults around NE and Squaw Creek, and juvies still in southern MO/IL.

My opinion: Adults can sense the weather meaning they know there isn't a snow line once they get up this way and have dealt with cold before and have been through the migration process years before and book it to the breeding grounds as fast as possible. The also know their limits on how far they can fly etc.,. They know how to handle the weather better. Juvies don't know any better and are taking the "normal" migration time.
