I started my season with an august goose hunt, and learned to never forget the bug spray when you're hunting in august and it's hot as hell. Between three of us we ended up getting three of the six geese we saw all day; due to poor shooting.

The next time I was able to hunt was the North Dakota resident opener  due to me being a student at UND(still a gopher fan). I was honestly blown away by the amount of duck we saw scouting leading up to opener. I was lucky enough to wind up in the middle of nowhere and find this field.

coming from eastern MN I never expected to see this many mallards feeding in dry fields this early. After a long night of not being able to sleep opener finally came, and we were not disappointed at what nodak had to offer.
