I think I'm done for the year. There are still some whistlers around that will be here all year but the season is closed up in my neck of the woods. It was a pretty awesome season so it didn't bother me to hang it up before the closure. Kicking around the idea of doing the mwf goose hunt in roch but it probably won't happen.

I ice fished last weekend north of Duluth on 3-5 inches of ice and caught some crappies and walleyes. Most water was not walkable but if you are smart about early ice it can be done. Might head up to Red after Tday.

Found a field tonight with few hundred honkers and couple hundred mallards. All I can do now is hope they use the field again tomorrow.

When you guys seeing them fly out...1:30-2:00? That's when I've seen them around home going to feed. I am gonna try and head west maybe late morning and see what I can find...just don't want to be too late.

Yesterday they were flying about 230 3. We're headed out to set up at noon.

Everything I've seen is a afternoon feed, nothing flying in morning....

Two man limit this afternoon from 1-3. Of course everyone else was "too busy" to go. Probably last hunt of the year unfortunately but ended well.

The last 3 days really slowed down but managed a greenhead today to end it. Had great hunting the few days before turkey day with no shortage of greenheads. Even picked up a band. Was banded in Menomonie, WI in August. Does that mean we're still shooting locals and the northern birds haven't come down yet?
Did a lot of ice busting this last week. Guys have been ice fishing for over a week.
