Friday busted some ice with an ice eater and shot some Goldeneye. Didn't fire the gun on Saturday but saw large concentrations of birds in un huntable areas(typical). Shot one Merganser this morning. Done for the year in MN.

Hunted right up til the end and the last day was by far the best day of the year for me.
Buckthorn removal is easy with the buckthorn baggie :-)

Had a field yesterday afternoon. Pulled in at noon and there were 500 mallards tornado-ing right where I planned on setting up. Was set up by 1245 and didn't have a single duck even fly over our field. Sure looked like a promising last day but nope!

shoulda ran the season 1 more week...this cold front should have the big push finally coming through :D
