Have a fairly big pond right by work. Every day the numbers of geese swells. Today, I would say 250-300. Can't wait to check it out tomorrow!

Heck that is warmer than our forecast for here!

They had mid 20s for lows Sun and Mon, ice had formed in the shallows. Heck western ND had high teens for lows over the weekend. Not saying it'll freeze up now, but do think it is a harbanger for a earlier than average freeze up.

While it certain does not look like we are going to be getting any 60's anytime soon. Would of liked a few nice fall days after not getting much of a summer.

I don't know. A guy on another site said upper Mississippi flyway should get ready for a flight, that he saw some ice forming at The Pas. Lot of those guys are on the east cost and they started talking about setting "Grand Passages". Mostly older guys from what I can tell on that site. Figure they must know a lot since they have seen this all happen before.....

I looked at the forecast for the pas and they have several highs around 58 in the next ten days. I did not see any lows lower than 31 degrees.

It’s not to say there will not be any birds coming but they are not freezing solid in the next 15 days. Buddy in South Dakota says still mostly local birds around and when the migration is on they get covered in ducks. Needless to say the migration has not hit South Dakota yet.

Plenty of migrators rolled into eastern SD on Friday and Saturday. I've seen an influx of interior/lesser sized Canada's, some hutchies, and pins/gadwall/wigeon. Wood ducks are moving through, blue wing teal are either gone or in large flocks about to leave. Saw some snows on a slough between hankinson exit and the SD border on Sunday. Its pretty much the same as last year, and the year before, and so on and so on.
