I hope that the forecasts are wrong for 8+ days out.

Accuweather is saying the same thing 8 days out - a week of low 30s for highs in the metro. http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/chanha ... er/2247398

That type of weather will effectively end water hunting in most places.

I will be in south dakta next weekend and hit it perfect I think. Fowler get out and get them next week and eat some duck! I will hunt the river when I get back. Lots of hunting left.

I predicted that last week.

I now predict a warm spell will come behind it and open a lot of water, but the ducks will be gone... So hunting won't be done but the shooting will be.

I'm not too worried yet. That forecast will probably change 3 or 4 times in the next week.

Might be sunny & 60-who knows

Yup, that is what I bitched about on the South zone topic a few months back with 11 closed days in Oct in the South zone - what if we are froze up by 2nd week of Nov. we'd get effectively a 30 day season.

Because lows of teens and a highs of 30 it will be making serious ice NEXT week, and I I do not have a ice breaker for a boat.

This weekend was awesome for hunting, big-time diver migration. Mallards/snows are next. I say get out this weekend and mop-em up. Saturday is going to be epic.

This is what everyone in the south zone wanted. All them December ducks that show up then. The DNR gave them what they wanted. Now they can enjoy them days in dec
