For many the end is near

Sun Nov 09, 2014 5:35 pm

As it says in the title, with the snow and this weeks temps, I am afraid the open water end is near. Judging by last weeks ice the overnight lows this week will lock up most open water in the cities. I am hunting tomorrow in hopes of a crazy finish. Good luck to all.

Just to bad the snow isn't coming from the north.
Ask Al how to successfully nest wood ducks, see you next season.

That's the problem. Wet snow then freezing hard is no good. Birds North of us have no reason to stop over.

Exactly why I don't think there is as many birds up there as people think. Seen alot of mallard a week ago. Most flew on by or stop and go'd. Hope I'm wrong.
