Worst season I've had in years, busy at shop and when I could make it out the wind was always blowing out of the south, hopefully a couple field hunts yet.........

Watching my old lab still kicking arse at almost 10. I just can't imaging hunting without him.

agree with Hanson. along with great hunts with great buddies. My 10 year old lab keeps on enjoying to hunt hard...he's just a little more stiff at the end of trip. and sometimes he passes out in motels and exposes his greasy sack to the world.

This year was the worst Minnesota season I have had in my life. Although I spent the majority of the first half of the season without a gun in my hand because it was my first hunting season with a dog. The young pup did ok. Sometimes he got a little too worked up. What made my season the most memorable was a trip I took with my wife, my father, my father in law, and an uncle that hasn't hunted in years to Saskatchewan. When we booked the trip over a year back we were told that we were cutting it close to lots of snow and freeze out. Instead we hunted in 70 degrees and t shirts. I wouldn't say we pounded them by any means but we had good hunting most of the time. Lots of missing and laughs. Could be a long time before we can get that group together for another trip.

This was the year I finally figured out with work and kids and wife..... I need to hunt the way I can when I can, and quit thinking there will be a time I will hunt when I want the way I want.

Got out more this year than the last several.... didn't shoot more birds, but thankful.

First hunting trip for my son... great memories.
