Thanks Harold. Interesting read. It sounds like it went very well.

86% of groups were in full compliance. That's a huge number.

I bet mn gets a teal season next year because of this stat alone.

This report makes me hate the MWA and all the dingleberries that were against the season for reasons that may or may not happen so much more. Their concerns of shooting non-teal species in such great numbers that the sloughs would run red with te blood of innocent victims, and 5 year old future H2Ofowlers would see the ponds littered with so many dead mallards and woodducks left by hunters that the sight would be so engrained in their minds they would recall it perfectly 51 years later. It didn't happen. And that's awesome.

Why the F didn't MN have a teal season again? what is this states problem?

oh well, hopefully next year. I'd love to see one in nodak. good time of year for some doves, early canadas, warm weather, and BWT.

Because the Doors song peace frog's lyrics of there's blood in the streets up to your ankles would have rung true for all the mis-id'd ducks.

Second question, it's residents.

Minnesota always wants to be different and lead the nation in conservation. Except that means saving the ducks for others to shoot. Good thing they did since we froze three weeks early!

Be careful what you wish for. Iowas first teal season led to the worst duck season I have ever had. Blasting the teal for a few weeks was great, but when opener came around ever duck was decoy shy. We got 2 ducks on opener, last year we got a 3 man limit 2 days in a row before sunrise. Its a double edged sword.

The birds that were around for your teal season probably weren't the ones that were around for your normal opener.
